Ms. Jessie Zhao, Founder&Specialist. has worked in one of the most important world renowned watch auctioneer since 2005, and established the first representative office for the auction house in China Mainland, Shanghai. She was the representative taking charge of the expansion of the business into China, responsible for the handling of client relations, consignment, bidding and after service. She has been working in the auction industry for over 16 years with experience of leading the team to handle international sales and clients with her insightful knowledge about horology. Prior to co-founding Lambert & Zhao, she has attended over hundreds of auctions in New York, Geneva, Hong Kong and Monaco, including thematic auctions such as Only Watch, Omegamania etc, helping connoisseurs to source and secure the rarest horological instruments from around the world.

Mr. Pierre Lambert,Consultant. hails from an esteemed French family. His journey into watch collecting was nurtured at a young age by his grandfather who was a vintage watch collector. Over time, like any seasoned watch collector, he has a particular penchant over vintage watches and is well-cultivated about the horology.

Mr. George Oye, Consultant & Specialist. has over 25 years of experience in watch and luxury brand business. He has superb knowledge on both vintage and modern watches and has took on consultant role in auction houses such as Sotheby’s and Bonhams. His insightful findings and apprehension about the watch market and horology are also published on influential editorials and online sites, such as Editor of Watch Journal, and Swiss Independent Watchmaker - RAÚL PAGÈS.

Mr. Daisuke, Watchmaker & Specialist. studied the theory of watch mechanism and mastered the skill of watchmaking during his 3 years Watchmaker Master Course at the Hiko Mizuno College of Jewelry in Japan. Upon his graduation, he worked at Masa’s Pastime a professional antique watch repair workshop in Japan, further honing his craft on watch services and restoration. Between 2012 and 2019, he took on the Associate Specialist role in Christie’s watch department. Daisuke specializes in both modern and vintage watch repair with expert knowledge on movement overhaul for minute-repeater, split-second chronograph, perpetual calendar, grande sonnerie and tourbillion complications.

How to Buy?

To attend an online-auction and private sales in person you need to register your personal information required in advance of the sale by filling out and submitting a registration.

About buyer’s commission

As to online auctions, in addition to the Hammer Price, the Buyer’s Premium is payable as follows: 23% of the hammer price on each lot(without tax).

As to private sales, you buy the relevant lot at a fixed price.

Conditions of sale

Online auctions and private sales are public sale held exclusively online by us on behalf of the consignors of the lots being sold. You should read each description and important notices on each item offered for sale. You could also contact with our specialists by phone or email to inquire before the sale.

At private sales, if you buy it, you might receive an invoice related to your purchase.

After finishing each online auction, you have to pay in accordance with your total invoices by the specific time and ways.

Buyers are responsible for import duties and taxes on all of their online purchases. Buyers are responsible for any value added tax (VAT) in the local country where the watch is located as well as sales tax applicable to the city or area in each country with different jurisdiction.

Shipments and returns

Your shipment packages are generally dispatched as soon as possible after receipt of payment and are shipped via our shipping partner with tracking number and drop-off with signature. Please note local duties and import taxes can apply and we are not in any case responsible.

All related shipping cost will be charged from buyer’s.

Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.

In case of return policy as applicable within International Law and Regulation on E-commerce, we kindly advise you to inform us as soon as possible to arrange shipping delivery back to our Hong Kong office.

How to sell?

Free VALUATION

We provide complimentary estimates for items which are suitable for sale with us.Please submit items from your collection to make appointments or contact with us by email. Our specialists will then contact with you to discuss your item and, where appropriate, to see the item in person.All our valuation is for free.

Free CHARGES for Vendor

For every item, we won’t have commission and online pictures photography fee for seller vendor but sale-related expenses which typically include insurance, transport, any restoration costs will be charged from seller vendors. Our specialists will discuss these charges with you at the time of consignment for your agreement in advance.

Payment

We will notify the seller as to the status of each item offered for sale, including online-auction and private sell. Provided payment has been received from the buyer, we will pay net sale proceeds the hammer price or redeem sale-related expenses if it has to the seller vendor after the auction. In the unlikely event that your property does not sell, we will be in touch with you to discuss and suggest next steps.
