Hermès Arceau Gene Kelly Pink Gold & Diamonds Limited To 12 Pieces

This limited edition to 12 pieces is  a 38mm rose gold Arceau Gene Kelly model. Its dial, featuring a leather marquetry motif, typical of Hermès, features jazz dancers. The motif was taken from a Tribute to Gene Kelly silk scarf designed by Canadian artist Geoff McFetridge. To create the scene, a dozen colored full-grain calfskin leathers were selected, which were then adorned on the dial in a tiny thickness of just 0.5mm.

On this dial without indexes, surrounded by a bezel set with 82 diamonds, the scene stands out against the white leather background, the initials of New York serving as a stage for the three brightly colored dancers. The dancer in loafers and white socks is of course reminiscent of Hollywood legend Gene Kelly.
